Hether Benjamin Brown is a senior corporate executive with over 30 years of experience driving and leading large scale strategic and cultural transformations, cost reduction initiatives, optimization of complex operational processes within Fortune 500 and privately-held companies.Hether’s almost 15-year career as an Energy leader has been spent as an executive, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, of Calpine Corporation, a privately-held (formerly Fortune 500) power generation company with over $10B in revenue and 2,300 employees across North America. She is responsible for leading Calpine’s human resources
and talent strategies, driving organizational effectiveness and transformational change to create a
high-performance business culture. In addition, she has responsibility for Corporate
Communications, Cyber and Physical Security, Business Continuity, Facilities & Real Estate, and
Supply Chain Services. Hether is also a member of Calpine’s Operating Committee made up of the CEO and top 8 Executives which serves as the strategic decision-making body for the company.Prior to joining Calpine, Hether served in a variety of executive leadership and operational roles within public and private industries spanning aerospace/defense, environmental/waste, health care and information technology. Companies include Houston-based Waste Management (Fortune 500), M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and Smith and Associates. Hether has held various board positions with non-profit and professional organizations including: William A. Lawson Institute for Peace and Prosperity, Methodist Hospital Underwood Center for Digestive Disorders, Alley Theatre (Advisory
Board member), and is an active member on several committees with the Greater Houston Partnership. Hether has served as a keynote speaker, panelist, and executive presenter on topics such as leadership, diversity and inclusion, and supply chain management.
